At Castleside Village Hall, we are dedicated to fostering a sense of community throughout. We provide a welcoming space for celebrations and gatherings, ensuring that every event is memorable and inclusive.

The Village Hall is a beautiful, historic building that dates back to 1924. Located in the heart of the community, the Village Hall recently celebrated its 100 year anniversary, marking a century of bring people together in the small village of Castleside and surrounding areas, situated between Corbridge and Tow Law. Despite the village losing chapels, shops, the Post Office and a pub over the years, the Village Hall continues to be a cornerstone of community life.
The Village Hall is home to our local craft group which covers a wide variety of craft activities and workshops to introduce a new craft and also other events. Our goal is to provide something for everyone and create a sense of belonging for all.
The Village Hall also hosts to a number of weekly fitness sessions for all ages & abilities.

In addition to Craft & Fitness activities the Village Hall provides a home for a range of other programs, workshops and services that are vital to ensuring people have a place to meet and support community and individual wellbeing.
During the year the Village Hall team stage various fundraising events, this enables them to provide free or reduced-price family events such as Halloween Party, Christmas Party, Annual Summer Fairs etc.

The Village Hall has a programme of regular classes, workshops and meetings that makes up a varied calendar for all ages.
The Village Hall has 2 rooms available for hire and suitable to host Community Events, Weddings, Christenings, Funerals, Private Parties, and much more.
The main Hall, can accommodate up to 100 people, refreshments can be provided, kitchen facilities and a fully licensed bar also available on request.
Additional there is a 1st floor Corporate Room with projector & screen, that can accommodate 20 people, again refreshments can be provided if required.
The Village Hall has an outside area which is a play area for younger children called Drovers Dell and is regularly used by local mums and their children during the day.
The Refurbished Drovers Dell was officially opened on Saturday 22nd March 2025.

A cPAD is a DEFIBRILLATOR that's available to members of the public to use if someone has a cardiac arrest.
These are available for use 24 hours everyday of the week (24/7) and the nearest ones to our location are situated in special cabinets on the outside of 2 below noted buildings.
How to access the Defibrillator
Call 999/112 for an ambulance, and give the emergency operator the number of the defibrillator written on the cabinet. The ambulance service will have the code to open the defibrillator cabinet.
